Task Quest is a gamified task manager that turns your to-do list into an adventure. Create tasks, earn XP for completing them, level up, maintain daily streaks, and compete on the leaderboard.

Hit "Start Your Quest" on the home page or go to the login page and click "Sign Up." All you need is an email, password, and a username.

Tasks are individual action items — things you actually do. Quests group related tasks together (like chapters). Epics are large projects containing multiple quests (like a whole storyline). You can also create standalone tasks and quests without nesting them.

Yes. The app is completely free to use. You get 15 AI planner requests per day at no cost. If you want unlimited AI usage, you can bring your own free Gemini API key.

You earn XP by completing tasks. The amount depends on difficulty: Easy (10 XP), Medium (25 XP), Hard (50 XP), and Epic (100 XP). XP accumulates toward your level.

When creating a task, you choose a difficulty that reflects effort: Easy (~30 min), Medium (1-3 hours), Hard (4-8 hours), or Epic (multi-day). Higher difficulty means more XP.

Complete at least one task per day to maintain your streak. Your streak counter goes up each consecutive day you complete a task. Miss a day and it resets to zero. Your longest streak is tracked separately.

The leaderboard ranks all users by total XP earned. It shows your level, XP, and current streak. Top 3 get medal icons.

The Quest Planner is an AI-powered assistant that helps you break down projects into structured Epics, Quests, and Tasks. You describe what you want to accomplish through a chat conversation, and it generates a complete plan.

Free users get 15 AI requests per day (resets at midnight UTC). Each message to the chat planner and each plan generation counts as a request.

Go to Account Settings and add your own Gemini API key. You can get a free key from Google AI Studio (aistudio.google.com/apikey). Once added, daily limits no longer apply.

In Account Settings, you can write about your skills, preferences, and goals. When enabled in the planner, this context is sent to the AI so it can tailor plans to your background — like suggesting technologies you know or matching your skill level.

Research credits let the AI task assistant perform web-powered deep research when helping you with specific tasks. These are limited and separate from daily AI requests.

Go to Account Settings and use the Change Password section. You can also use "Forgot Password" on the login page to reset via email.
